As Norway's Constitution celebrates its 200 year anniversary, the question being asked is "How can a Constitution survive the inevitable tensions in the separation of pow ers". A panel discussion was held at the University of Cape Town, where the guest of honour was Olemic Thommessen, the President of the Storting of the Kingdom of Norway (the Grand Assembly of the Norwegian Parliament), as well as Pierre de Vos and Judith February. The discussion was chaired by Richard Calland.
